Innovative Company

In my oppinion the most innovative company in Downhill biking is Trek. I find this because they spend a lot of their money into developing new inventions and such. Trek World Racing just announced that they would be dropping their Cross Country team and all teams that didnt involve the gravity side of riding. They will be keeping their Slope Stlye/Freeride team andof course their World Cup winning Downhill team with Aaron Gwin. Aaron Gwin (we normaly just call him Gwinny) is the all american Trek Downhill who has won many many World Cup races and he even won a World Cup over all before the season was even over. Trek has been focusing on creating world class Downhill bikes. Their main Downhill bike is the Session 9.9. The frame is completly carbon, meaning that the frame is very strong and also very light. The complete stock Trek Session 9.9 weighs in at just around 27 lbs. This is A super light Downhill bike, most All Mountian bikes weigh more than this Downhill bike! The suspension on this bike is very plush and amazing. The stock build comes with Kashima coated Fox 40’s and a Kashima coated DHX-RC4, these are two of the most renouned Downhill shocks. If you decided to build up a ustom frame you could probaly build it up even lighter. Trek is also focusing on Slpoe Style riding. The center point to Trek’s Team is Brandon Semenuk. Trek will be comming out with a new SS bike. Their team is already riding them. Semenuk already put his to good use by winning the FMB world tour.
I believe that Trek is exetreamly innovative in the world of Downhill and SS.

The Four Step Process Of Winning A Downhill Race

The first step you need to do is making sure you have a race ready bike and gear. A good bike for downhill raacing usay has anywhere between 8 and 10 inches of rear travel. It is a good idea to try to get a bike that is not single pivot, this means that the suspension is always active. On a single pivot bike the suspension doesn’t work very well when braking. Single pivot bikes are more intended for hucking, this means that the frameis stronger and will not brake when you take it off of repeated massive drops to flat. It is good to have a fork that is capable of soaking up small hits as well as the larger hits, such as a Boxxer or Fox 40s or a 888. Now for the gear you will want to have a full face helmet, knee pads a jersey and pants or shorts.
The second spet to winning is pratice. You should do Cross Country riding, because it improves your staminia and it is good training for downhill. You will need to go riding as much as possible. Get a season pass to your local bike resotrt, get someone to shuttle you to your local DH trails. When the weekend or week of your race comes try to get there a few days early. This is so you can pick your lines on the trail as best as possible. Then once you do that and take some pratice runs you need to take some full race pace pratice runs. You should do Cross Country riding, because it improves your staminia and it is good training for downhill.
The third step you take is having fun with your friends and relaxing the night before your race. This will help with your nervosness the night before your race. Before you go and do this you should peform a bike check make sure that your tires are still good with enough grip, make sure your deraillur shifts smoothly because this is a piece that can add or subtract seconds from your time. Make sure your brakes are working well and the pads are not worn down too far. You have to remember to make sure that all of your pivots are tight and will not fall out during your race and last but not least lube your chain so that it runs smoothly and then it will shift even better.
The final fourth step is going out and racing as fast as you possibly can. Once you win go to the podiums and accept your medal. After you accept your medal take a victory run on the smoothest, flowiest and fastest jump trail that is at the resort. This is not necessary, it is just very fun and i would reccomend it to relieve the stress of your race.

This The Four Step Process Of WInning Your Race.
Just remember you cannot become a amazing racer overnight.
